Martini
A classic martini is made from good gin and and a splash of vermouth. Vodka martinis
are made using vodka and vermouth.
The martini imust be served cold. The gin or vodka and vermouth should be refrigerated
before being added to ice, shaken or stirred, and strained into a chilled glass.
It can be served "up", which means the martini is served in a stemmed glass
or on the rocks in an old fashioned glass.
An olive is the preferred garnish for a gin martini.
